Here are some simple things we like to do when the negativity in the world starts to get to us. You can see that the items involve our senses, and that’s no accident. (We didn’t include taste though because that could take me down a rabbit hole of culinary delights really quickly!) But we will include some recipes on this blog and vlog, so stay tuned for those later.

When you feel yourself slipping into negativity….

Take a break. Take a breath. Focus on the positive!

  1. Smell a candle.
  2. Read a book.
  3. Read a devo book.
  4. Take a walk.
  5. Swing on a porch swing.
  6. Listen to the sounds of nature.
  7. Write a thank-you note.
  8. Write in a gratitude journal.
  9. Turn off the news (or never turn it on).
  10. Be selective about social media.
